Transparency, Reform & Local Results
Lake Greenwood & Conestee Dam

Lake Greenwood is the lifeblood of our community. For years, the aging Conestee Dam in Greenville County posed a serious threat to our lake, risking the release of toxic industrial waste that has accumulated behind the dam for over a century. Columbia wasn't paying attention. I made them.
I fought for years to secure $36 million in state funding for a new dam to protect Lake Greenwood and the communities downstream. It meant building coalitions with local officials, pushing back against competing priorities in the statehouse, and making the case over and over that this was a matter of public health and safety for Greenwood — not just another line item to be ignored.
This is one of the largest infrastructure investments in the history of our district. It will safeguard our drinking water, our property values, and our way of life for generations. Nobody handed it to us. We fought for it and we got it done.
FOIA Reform & Transparency
Government works best when it works in the open. I have been a consistent advocate for strengthening South Carolina's Freedom of Information Act to ensure that taxpayers have access to the information they need to hold their government accountable.
I have supported legislation to close loopholes in FOIA that allow government bodies to conduct the public's business behind closed doors, and I will continue to fight for greater transparency in how our state and local governments operate.
Ethics & Transparency
I believe that public officials should be held to the highest standards of ethical conduct. I have supported legislation to strengthen our ethics laws and to ensure that elected officials are accountable to the people they serve. Transparency in government spending, decision-making, and operations is not optional. It is a fundamental obligation.
Conservative Judges
South Carolina's judiciary plays a critical role in upholding the rule of law and protecting our constitutional rights. I have consistently supported the appointment and election of conservative judges who will interpret the law as written, not legislate from the bench.
Our courts must be staffed by men and women who respect the Constitution, the separation of powers, and the rights of the people.
Judicial Reform
I have worked to reform South Carolina's Merit Selection Commission, which is responsible for screening and nominating candidates for judicial office. The process should be transparent, accountable, and free from political influence, ensuring that the most qualified and principled candidates are elevated to the bench.
